Early Life and Career
Jody Cundy was born on October 14, 1978, in England. He began his career as a swimmer and represented Great Britain at the 2004 Athens Paralympic Games, where he won a bronze medal.
After the games, he joined the high-performance swimming center at Swansea.
He later switched to cycling and has since won numerous medals in both sports.
Paralympic Career
Jody Cundy has represented Great Britain at seven Summer Paralympics, winning eight gold, one silver, and three bronze medals across swimming and cycling events.

Jody Cundy has been involved in several controversies throughout his career. At the 2012 Summer Paralympics, he was expected to win gold in the C4/5 Men's 1 km time trial, but slipped shortly after starting, which he argued was due to the starting gate not working properly.
The technical delegate of the International Cycling Union, Louis Barbeau, disagreed, refusing him a restart. Cundy then erupted into an expletive-fueled rant as he realized four years of hard training had been destroyed by the commissaire's decision.
Personal Life
Jody Cundy has been open about his struggles with mental health, including anxiety and depression.
He has also suffered minor injuries after being involved in a cycle crash with a car in Majorca.

Asked how it thinks about to his normal everyday employment, Jody - who's addressed Extraordinary England at seven Paralympics, winning eight golds in swimming and cycling - says: "Gracious, Rigorously is the most harrowing of every one of them. With regards to the Paralympics, I've gone through my time on earth preparing.
"With Rigorously, I don't have any idea how to move. Then to be aware there's anyway a large number of people watching on television, and will give me input - that is a higher degree of unnerving."
