The first impression is that it looks toy. This small light gray plastic device is the size of the palm of a hand and weighs only 249 grams.

DJI has managed to create a much lighter and more comfortable to carry drone that, although it does not record in 4K, is a good option for those people who want to get started in the world of aircraft.

With the app on, the first thing you have to do is follow the instructions that appear on the screen to calibrate the drone. It is very simple, you just have to turn the aircraft in the direction you are told.

Once ready you can take off the drone without having to do any maneuver, because just press the takeoff and landing button that contains an arrow located on the left, so from the perspective of a person who does not master the device is very useful.

As far as flying is concerned, the Mavic Mini presents very interesting options, being able to use it in manual mode, varying the ISO and exposure to taste, or in automatic mode.

It takes high-quality photos with 12 megapixels and records videos in 1080p at 60fps, with 2.7 K resolution, no vibration and very smoothly, but does not allow to greatly modify the image of the video.

It doesn't have image profile options like D-Log, sharpness settings or white balance, so sometimes if the light changes suddenly the color may also change.

It also has 3 flight models: CineSmooth, for smoother maneuvers, position, more beginner-oriented and Sport mode, for faster movements.

The latter has several very interesting options such as Dronie, Circle, Helix and Rocket, where the device recognizes your position and performs different movements, such as turning around you or making a zenith plane that moves away slowly.

As for prices, the Mavic Mini stands out for being the cheapest and easiest to handle DJI drone of all, with a price of only 370 euros or 475 euros if you decide to buy the combo that comes with more accessories on Amazon.

Personally I consider it quite a success to have acquired The Fly More Combo for 100 euros more, since only for the fact that it brings 2 more batteries is more than amortized. Each battery allows a flight of up to 30 minutes, so this kit gives you a flight time of up to 90 minutes.

In addition, it also has an external charger where you can insert the three batteries and charge them successively, which saves time and is much more comfortable, since while using the drone you can be charging another of the batteries.

Propeller guards are another of its strengths, especially for vegetation environments or novice pilots, as they could prevent you from spoiling your device. In that line, this pack includes 3 pairs of spare propellers in case you need to change them, because they are very delicate.

But without a doubt, one of the things I have most appreciated has been the semi-rigid case that comes included, because it allows to have all the components well ordered and protected, making them much easier to transport.

Another aspect to keep in mind is that if you are not very used to flying these devices or if you plan to fly it in complicated environments with many obstacles I recommend that you take out the DJI Care Refresh damage protection insurance.

Your drone will be protected for a year, including up to 2 replacements in case of user error, collisions, damage caused by water or falls for only 39 euros.

Although to be able to request it you will have to meet a series of requirements, such as that the device is new and is not activated or has been in the last 48 hours.

Although this drone is a good option in value for money, it is true that there are some things that could be improved.

As for accessories, the protective propellers do not fit inside the case, so it does not encourage you to use them too much and when you fit the mobile in the hollow of the controller you can lose your nerves.

The cable that connects these two devices is quite short and the space very small, so perhaps it would have been much better to have opted for a Bluetooth or wireless option.

Another thing that has surprised me is that the SD slot in the same drone is not protected, so it could easily get damaged and lose all the content. Also, it is important to mention that it is not worth any SD card, but it has to be UHS-I type with a Class 3 UHS Speed.

However, their batteries hold up to 25 minutes under normal conditions, which seems to me more than enough and withstands moderate wind gusts quite well.

Mavic Mini is a good choice for those who want to get started in the world of drones recreationally or can not invest large amounts of money in a larger caliber, so you do not have much to envy the larger models of the brand.

In addition, its small size and easy portability make it ideal for traveling, since you can take it with you in any standard bag or backpack and, thanks to its reduced weight, you can fly it in numerous cities, of course, always respecting the different flight regulations corresponding in each country.
