Felix Auger-Aliassime was born to a French-Canadian mother, Marie Auger, and a Togolese father, Sam Aliassime. He grew up in Montreal and started playing tennis at the age of four.
Auger-Aliassime's parents were both teachers, and they encouraged him to pursue his passion for tennis.
He was coached by his father until he was 13 years old, after which he joined Tennis Canada's National Training Centre in Montreal.
